Options in a wide variety of choices

Interior Finishes

We use melamine, a durable, white coating over fiberboard that is less susceptible to water damage and provides a smooth, bright, easy to clean interior. For those who prefer the old-fashioned integrity of plywood, Oak Ridge offers the interior option of maple plywood. Although this material doesn't offer the easy maintenance of melamine, it is extremely strong and durable.

Hinges

Oak Ridge uses concealed European hinges. Our Salice hinges are totally hidden from view and offer a very clean exterior look to the cabinets. The Euro hinges are fully adjustable and very strong.

Drawer Guides

The Oak Ridge standard is the Mepla Alfit Euro Slide. It has a 7/8 extension and a 75lb weight capacity. These guides are tough performers with a very low failure rate. For extreme loads and use, an upgrade would be the KV 8400. These are full extension guides rated at 100lb capacity and roll on quiet ball bearings. Other upgrades available would be the concealed under-mount Blum or Mepla slides. These upgrades also come with a self-closing option.

Pull-Outs

Pull outs are cabinet shelves that you can pull out to reveal the contents of the whole shelf. They have sides about 3" tall to help contain irregularly shaped objects like pots and pans. You no longer have to bend over to peer or reach into the depths of a dark cabinet trying to locate an item. Simply pull out the shelf and select what you need.

Spice Pull-Out

Organize your spices or other items in a spice rack pull out. These door mounted pull-outs make accessing your spices quick and convenient.

Lazy Susans

A lazy susan helps recover space that is normally lost in corners where two banks of cabinets meet. Oak Ridge offers both the traditional lazy susan and the more modern "half-moon pivot/pull out" system that combines a lazy susan with the convenience of a pull out. A full round lazy susan is the perfect choice for diagonal corner upper or lower cabinets.

Trash/Recycling Bin

A slide out waste container can be mounted behind a door or attached directly to a door to help keep litter in its place. Special slide out containers with several compartments for sorting recyclable makes recycling more convenient.

Wine Rack

Fine wine should be stored with the neck of the bottle tilted slightly downward to keep the cork submerged. A wine rack is an attractive accessory that stores wines properly and enhances any decor.

Stem Rack

Stemware that is stored suspended by its base is less likely to tip and break. The stem rack can be located within a cabinet or underneath.

Cookie Sheet Rack

Instead of being stored underneath a pile of pots and pans, cookie sheets can be stored on edge within individual partitions.

Plate Rack

A wonderful way to safely display decorative china is to put it in a rack where each piece stands on edge, but staggered at an angle to the wall. Plate racks can be built into cabinets with glazed doors above or below for a truly beautiful effect.
